The City of Winter Haven is having a meeting on September 25th, and we would appreciate it if you could attend. I would like to bring two issues to your attention.
Winter Haven started a month of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Trainings on September 6th. Contracts are attached. If you don’t know why this is bad, please watch this short video.
Can you please attend the meeting? You will not need to speak, but we need support for those who will be. We need to hold them accountable and find out who approved this, and who voted for it? It is important that the Commission understands that their employer (We the People) do not approve of them spending $30,000 of our money for this type of training.
Just look at the attached map of Winter Haven upcoming developments. Common sense would dictate that no new development should be planed without an environmental impact study. What kind of pollution will occur? Infrastructure, roads, electric, water, sewer and We the People’s input. Commissioners represent us and should hear our voices loud and clear. We the People are their employer, and we need to be part of the conversation for growth.
