Nassau County School District and Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare Defendants in Public Records Lawsuit

George Miller, Publisher of Citizens Journal was the only media in the courtroom on June 18th to cover the Public Records Lawsuit against Nassau County School District, Nassau County School Board and Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare.

The defendants have refused to provide public school curriculum in response to Nassau Citizens Defending Freedom’s (Nassau CDF) request for public information. The law is clear that school materials are a public record that should be available to the public for review. Every other request for school materials and software access has been provided to Nassau CDF. The Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare Ripple Effects software however has been held back. These materials are presented to the most vulnerable students with behavioral or mental health issues.

The Citizens Journal article is a comprehensive summary of day 1 in court on June 18th. Next court date is Monday, July 15th at the Yulee Justice Center when the School District puts on their defense.

If you are parent or know a parent who’s child who was presented Ripple Effects, contact Nassau CDF on our tip line. Parents deserve full disclosure of what is being presented to their children at school.
