NASSAU COUNTY, FLORIDA – Citizens Defending Freedom (CDF) expresses deep concern following the Nassau School District’s decision to settle a lawsuit by reinstating books previously deemed in violation of Florida Statutes on obscenity (847.001 and 847.012). In a controversial move, the district has chosen to return books to the shelves that its own rating system found to be in violation of Florida’s obscenity laws, creating alarm among parents and guardians who trust their schools to protect children from inappropriate content.
