Christian Heritage Parade & Festival – Sat June 29 – bring the kids!

UPDATE:  June 30, 2024 – The parade and festival were a huge success!

See the story from the Citizens Journal

One year ago several Nassau County residents asked  “why don’t we have a July 4th parade?”  When Pastor Zach Terry at First Baptist Fernandina Beach also mentioned a parade celebrating Christian Heritage, we thought it was a great idea.  A Christian Heritage Parade and Festival is exactly what our community and our families need – unity, family, and fun to celebrate  families, our patriotism and most of all our universal love of the one true God and his guiding word.   Our founders, founding documents and the revolution that was fought to preserve our freedom is worth celebrating to unite all of us.  We are “one country under God”.  Pledge of Allegiance        Jack Knocke, Citizens Defending Freedom, Nassau Executive Director

Parade starts Saturday at 10:00 AM at Central Park and Ash and then goes up Centre Street finishing in the park for the festival starting at 11:00 AM.

Come out to watch the parade and enjoy food, games and free stuff at the Festival following the parade.

Social media locally lit up when certain people heard about the parade.  If you want to read about their story of hate, division, racism and anti-Christian messaging in Nassau, you can read the article below.  Citizens Journal Florida outlined the story behind the parade and the objectors messaging.

Should we remain silent and let them push their dysfunctional propaganda or celebrate family values?
